Acceptance of terms
By accessing and using comparestrata.com (“the Website”), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Website.
About our service
Compare Strata provides independent information about strata managers operating in New South Wales. We aggregate publicly available data from the StrataHub register, NSW Caselaw, licence records, and review platforms to help apartment owners and owners corporations make informed decisions.
We are not affiliated with the NSW Government, NSW Fair Trading, NCAT, or any strata manager. Our assessments represent our independent analysis and should be considered alongside other sources of information.
Information accuracy
While we make reasonable efforts to ensure our data is accurate and up-to-date, we cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of all information. Data may be delayed or contain errors from source systems. You should verify important information directly with the relevant manager, NSW Fair Trading, or official registers before making decisions.
Our tribunal case counts, scheme statistics, and other metrics are derived from publicly available records and our own methodology. These are intended as one data point among many, not as definitive judgments about any manager's quality of service.
Intellectual property
The content, design, and functionality of this Website are owned by Compare Strata. You may view, download, and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without permission.
Third-party data (review scores, company information, tribunal records, StrataHub register data) remains the property of its respective sources and is used in accordance with applicable licences and fair use principles.
Limitation of liability
The Website is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Website or reliance on information contained within it.
We do not endorse or recommend any particular strata manager. Decisions about engaging a manager are your responsibility, and you should conduct your own due diligence, including reviewing the NSW Fair Trading website and seeking professional advice where appropriate.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) or similar state legislation which cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.
Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with the “last updated” date. Continued use of the Website after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
