About Compare Strata

We're building the transparency resource that NSW apartment owners deserve—aggregating official data to help you make informed decisions about strata managers.

Why we exist

New South Wales has the largest strata sector in Australia, with over 80,000 strata schemes and more than two million people living in strata properties. The StrataHub register maintains public records of every scheme and its appointed managing agent.

But here's the problem: while this data exists, it's locked behind a single-scheme lookup interface. There's no way to compare managers side by side, see how many schemes they manage, check their licence status, or review their tribunal history. Owners corporations making one of their most important decisions—choosing a strata manager—are flying blind.

That's what we're here to fix. Compare Strata aggregates data from the StrataHub register, NSW Caselaw, licence records, and review platforms so you can see the full picture in one place.

Our approach

We believe in showing you verifiable, comparable data rather than subjective opinions. Every manager profile on our site is built from official sources that anyone can check.

We don't take payments from strata managers to improve their rankings or hide negative information. Our methodology is published in full. If you disagree with how we've represented something, you can see exactly where the data came from and tell us if you think we've got it wrong.

What we value

📊
Data over opinion

We show verifiable facts from official sources, not subjective assessments.

🔍
Transparency

Our methodology is public. You can see exactly where every data point comes from.

⚖️
Fairness

We present data in context—a manager with 500 schemes and 3 tribunal cases is different from one with 10 schemes and 3 cases.

🔄
Accuracy

We regularly update our data and correct errors when they're reported.

Who's behind this?

Compare Strata is an independent project. We're not affiliated with the NSW Government, Fair Trading, any strata manager, or any industry body. We're apartment owners who got frustrated by how hard it was to find reliable information about strata managers—and decided to build the resource we wished existed.
